Shrine Project Combining Slogans & The Forest

After a presentation we each had to give based on our passion we were paired up and then asked to create a 'shrine' representing both our passions. My partners passion was slogans and mine was the forest.
After experimenting with a variety of ideas including making dens in the woods we finally settled on the idea of creating a slogan out of natural materials found in the forest. We experimented with carving into trees, making out of red holly berries, leaves and lots of other materials until realizing that moss was the most effective.
We then went through a very drawn out process of selecting the right kind of slogan to use. Settling on 'Better than Word' an ambiguity as they are words makes it interesting also with a connection to Microsoft Word.
We then went on to recreate our slogan out of moss on a tree in the woods! the result shown above became our shrine. We were very pleased with the result and feel the image represents each of our passions equally.
