Mail Art

Today we were into uni by 10 o'clock and then shortly directed into the lecture theater where a briefing was to be held. I was then very quickly introudced to the world of 'Mail Art'. A world where anybody could send artwork to anybody else, not knowing what you would receive or when. Immediately I was grabbed by this concept and found it very interesting. Something that is easily accessible for all and has an almost limitless audience.
We are to work in groups of 3/4 with our only real guidance is that we are asked to have a final outcome. How we go about getting that through Mail Art is completely up to us and open.
Upon a quick search on the net I immediately found a project set at the University of Brighton where students had to send some form of experience from their travels/holdiday back to the university.

Copy the link to get an idea of the things that got sent back http://www.riittaikonen.com/projects/mail-art/
